Supergreat is a unique online community where beauty fans review, shop, and share tips on the latest skincare and makeup trends. In 2019, I was hired as the first full-time designer, and one of my main objectives was to revamp the brand’s early visual identity into a fun and vibrant space for its youthful, devoted community members.
At the beginning of 2019, daily editorial articles were added to the app experience, and the brand was in need of visual content that would entice readers to become new users. In that regard, we strategized that the platform’s main audience consisted of informed beauty enthusiasts and members of Gen Z who were beginning to gain interest in beauty.
I developed a clear visual voice for Supergreat’s editorial images that would eventually inform the rest of the brand’s identity, using bold, saturated colors and textures that would resonate with the community’s self-assured and experimental members.
